The annual "Fun Day" for the Senior Citizens is hosted by the KEDDO Area Agency on Aging for senior citizens living in Choctaw, Haskell, Latimer, LeFlore, McCurtain, Pittsburg, & Pushmataha Counties. The purpose is to honor southeastern Oklahoma's Senior Citizens. The "KEDDO Senior Citizen Day" has a Mardi Gras theme and includes events such as a Picnic, Bingo, Games and a Coloring Contest to support Celebrating Healthy Living for Seniors.
The Wilburton Senior Citizens Director Lori Pearson stated she and her staff will be working at the Senior Citizens Day to support all the events during 9am to 2 pm. Additionally, approximately 20 Wilburton seniors have registered to attend the festivities celebrating Healthy Living.
The Wilburton residents who regularly receive delivered meals will receive two (2) meals on Thursday to ensure they have a meal for Friday.
