Oklahoma Medical Training Center in joint efforts with Oklahoma CPR & More of McAlester graduated its spring First Responder Class that was taught here in Wilburton this past Saturday.
Students of the class met and exceeded all aspects of the training program outlined by the Oklahoma Department of Health EMS division . The students came from local Volunteer Fire Departments in Wilburton, Ash Creek, LeFlore and Longtown #9 areas. Head Instructor was Julie Gates with over-scene by OMTC/ Oklahoma CPR & More Program Director Joe Williams. All the final paperwork was turned into the State Department on 4/8/19.
The completion of this course and the CPR training obtained through Oklahoma CPR & More to local Wilburton Police Department (WPD) and Latimer County (LC) Sheriffs Department makes Latimer County a much healthier and safer place to live as EVERY WPD Policeman, EVERY LC Sheriff's Deputy, EVERY LC Volunteer Fireman first responders are now the best trained in Southeast Oklahoma!
Congratulation to all the new First Responders of Latimer County. Thank you for your service!
