Wilburton Park & Recreation (P&R) Department has announced FREE Swimming Lessons for children ages 2 years old and up. Thanks to Eastern
Oklahoma State College, lessons will take place in the EOSC indoor pool. The instructor and all lifeguards are certified.
TODDLER CLASSES
for ages 2 – 6 years will be held May 22, 23, 24, & 25. Children MUST BE POTTY TRAINED. The 2-3 years old
class will be from 1:00pm to 1:30pm; 4-year old class will be from 1:30pm to
2:00pm; the 5-year old class from 2:00 to 2:30pm; The 6-year old class from
2:30 to 3:00pm. NOTE:
A parent or responsible adult must accompany each child in the pool for
“Toddler” classes. A certificate will be awarded May 25th at the end of each
class.
NOTE: Parents are
invited to attend. Class times are
subject to change depending on the number of children who register in each
class.
YOUTH CLASSES
for ages 7 and older will be held May 22 - 25 and May 30 - June 2nd. Class times for ages 7 & 8 years old
INEXPERIENCED swimmers will be 3:00 to 3:30pm. Class time
for EXPERIENCED swimmers ages 7 & 8 years old will
be 3:30 to 4:00pm. 9 years old and older
Inexperienced swimmers’ class will be 4:00 to 4:30pm. Experienced swimmers
9 years old and older will be taught 4:30 to 5:00pm. A certificate will be
awarded on June 2 at the end of each class. Again, Class times are subject to
change depending on the number of children who register in each class.
Registration forms are available at City Hall. Due to limited class sizes, we would recommend signing
up early so we will know how many classes we need to have. Class sizes are determined by the American Red
Cross regulations. To find out further information, please call the Wilburton City Hall at 918-465-5361. They will answer any questions you may have. The Instructor
