Mr. Richard Boggs was approved at the August 10 Wilburton City Council Meeting to become the new member of the Wilburton Zoning and Planning Commission. Mr. Boggs replaces Mr. Wayne Brinkley who stepped down from his position due to his health. While Mr. Brinkley has been a valuable member of the Commission, Mr. Boggs will be a qualified replacement. Mr. Boggs is a Wilburton retired business man who knows the community residents, the needs and the goals of the City, and is very interested in seeing it grow in an orderly manner. This attitude fits very well into the mission of the Zoning and Planning Commission which is, "Making decisions which reflect the highest public good for the entire community and not for one individual business or corporation." The commission's method of operation is to keep taxes low by allowing and accommodating growth by placing infrastructure in place ahead of its needed time.
WELCOME, Mr. Boggs.
